I have a lifelong passion for swimming from a very young age. It’s a pleasure for me to be able to teach people young and mature to swim!

Offering individual and group lessons to ages 2 to 80.  Whether you or your child are learning to swim or are an advanced competitive swimmer looking to improve stroke technique we have a program for you.  Each student is offered an individualized approach at each lesson based on comfort, ability and drive.  If you’re looking to get more fit, recovering from an injury or just wanting to improve your techniques in the water I can develop a strategy that fits your needs.

Our lessons together will focus on water safety and techniques through a series of lessons at your pool or ours.  Many local residential pools are available for teaching if you don’t have a pool of your own.  We can also recommend pools in the area to continue your practice.

My swimming career started at age 3 and I enjoy swimming every day.  I have been fortunate to receive my instruction from many coaches in my career including my father who is the founder and Race Director of the RCP Tiburon Mile, a 1 nautical mile swim from Angel Island to Tiburon located here in the San Francisco Bay where I grew up.  I was winner of the Mayor’s Cup in 2018 for the fastest local swimmer. 

 

My father is a world-class pool swimmer who represented U.C.L.A. at the NCAA Championships and the United States at the Pan American Games in the butterfly and relay events.  He was a member on the US National Team for 6 years.  He holds the record for the fastest round trip Alcatraz Invitational Swim in San Francisco Bay in history in 1998 in 1 hour, 5 minutes and 15 seconds.  He also holds the one-way record at 24 minutes.  To say how fortunate I am to train with him daily is an understatement.

The local teams I was fortunate to be a part of include Thunder Coast Aquatics, Redwood High School, Orinda Aquatics, Seals Aquatics and North Bay Aquatics.  I enjoy pool swimming, open water swimming and water polo.

I am currently also a working on my degree in business economics as a sophomore at Westmont College in Santa Barbara.
